Nepal has by far the most to offer of all Himalayan countries, especially in terms of treks. There are literally hundreds of treks that can be done, ranging form easy treks through the undulating hills of the lower Himalayas to hard core treks where you never drop below the tree line. Basically, Nepal has it all.

Many treks, including well known ones such as the Annupurna Circuit have seen tremendous changes in the last 25 years, that is, since we first started doing these treks. Where our early groups used to camp now comfortable lodges, some of them even 3 or 4 star quality, have sprung up. Not everyone is happy with these ‘improvements’ as it has changed the trekking experience drastically. Though we can organise any trek for you, we focus on the less trodden trails where you either need to camp or can stay in not too crowded, simple lodges.

By jeep, doing day walks

Exploring the remoter areas of Nepal by jeep is not done by many, so it seems. Even less common is the formula ‘travel by jeep, explore on foot’. This is what we call walking tours. While new roads have being constructed in places where in the past only legwork would get you, rendering these trekking routes redundant, we might as well use these roads to reach higher vantage points from which we can do beautiful walks. We’re working on developing more of these tours, so ask us if you have a particular idea or interest.

Wildlife and birding

Especially the south of Nepal has some very good national parks that offer good opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird watching. In the tours we offer you can choose to combine the Nepal experience with visiting Indian parks, either in North-India, entering Nepal from the west (such as Corbett N.P.) or in Northeast India (such as Kaziranga N.P.).
